STI Expands Workforce
WASHINGTON, D.C. – May 4, 2010 – The STI CARES program was in full swing on April 7th when STI employees hand-delivered boxes filled with in-kind donations to the Montgomery County Humane Society (MCHS). Employees’ and their families contributed over 50 pounds of towels, blankets, collars, leashes, toys and other items desperately needed by the MCHS.
Employees chose the MCHS as their first service project for the STI CARES program because in times of economic hardship, the number of animals abandoned to local shelters increases, while the amount of assistance and aid decreases.
The STI CARES program is a company-wide community service initiative aimed at providing goods, services and monetary assistance to local community service organizations. The program focuses its efforts in the Montgomery County area by supporting the Manna Food Bank, the Children’s Inn at NIH and a local Squadron of Troops stationed overseas as the primary beneficiaries of STI’s community service efforts.
