STI Food Drive
WASHINGTON, D.C. -December 22, 2008- The employees of Schreiber Translations, Inc. (STI) decided to host a Food Drive to benefit Manna Food Center of Rockville for their 2008 Holiday Charitable campaign. Providing needed items to help disadvantaged families across Montgomery County was the motive for the decision to support Manna.
"We at Schreiber Translations, Inc. are acutely aware of the increased need for food bank donations this year due mainly to the current economic environment and we're pleased to be able to do our small part to alleviate the situation," said Marla Schulman, STI's President.
Employees and Families were proud to raise over 200 pounds of non-perishable food items and delivered the items to the Manna Food Center on December 16, 2008. Everyone at STI was pleased to be able to do their part to make the holiday season a brighter one for our local community residents.
Manna gave the following statement regarding STI's donation, "Manna Food Center is grateful for the donation of food from Schreiber Translation. Their generosity will truly help fight hunger and feed hope in Montgomery County and will help Manna meet the 56% increase in demand for food it's currently experiencing."
