Schreiber Translations, Inc. Supports McAfee with Translation
WASHINGTON, D.C. – July 23, 2007 – On June 20, 2007, the Maryland Board of Public Works approved Schreiber Translations, Inc. (STI) as the Primary Contractor for written document translation services to commence on July 1, 2007.
STI responded to a competitive solicitation issued by the State to procure on-demand, easy to use, and cost-effective language translation support services for written documentation. To fulfill the State’s requirements, STI will cover core languages such as French, Russian, and Spanish, as well as less common languages ranging from Amharic and Burmese to Urdu and Yoruba. Most services are required in support of state Senate Bill 265 of 2002 providing for equal access to public services for individuals with limited English proficiency. Since the inception of the bill, there has been an upward trend in the use of such services by State agencies.
