Marla Schulman Re-elected President of the Association of Language Companies
WASHINGTON, D.C. -May 27, 2008- Schreiber Translations, Inc. (STI) is proud to announce that STI President, Marla Schulman, has been elected to serve as President of the Association of Language Companies (ALC). Schulman received this honor on May 16, during the association's 2008 Annual Conference held in San Francisco; the largest conference in the association's six-year history. Though Schulman has held this position since May of 2007, this will be her first full term, lasting for two years.
Schulman was elected based on many factors, including her more than 10 years of management experience in the translation industry and her success as President of Schreiber Translations, Inc. -- one of the leading language services companies in the United States. As STI's President, Schulman has competed for and won some of the largest translation contracts issued by US government agencies and private industry. In addition, it is because of Schulman's dedicated leadership that STI, which provides translation, interpretation, foreign language desktop publishing, and localization services in all languages, has grown 25% over the last four years.
Schulman, a longtime advocate of the language services industry, stated upon her election, "It is an honor to lead the ALC in its mission to promote the professional stature and economic position of its US member language companies."
