Malaysian and Malaysian Translation
This is an Austronesian language spoken by the people of Malaysia, as well as in southern Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, and a number of other territories and islands in the South Pacific. Malay is an official language in Malaysia, Brunei, and Singapore. In Malaysia, it is formally known as Bahasa Malaysia ("Malaysian Language"), and there are approximately 20-30 million speakers worldwide.
Although there is a high degree of mutual intelligibility between Malay and Indonesian, there are also some significant differences. There are also many dialects of Malay that are not mutually intelligible.
Malay was traditionally written with the Jawi script, a modified Arabic script, but nowadays is most commonly written with the Latin alphabet.
