Director of Business Development


The Director of Business Development (DBD) is in charge of or oversees all activities related to the overall growth of the company. As the DBD, you will work with our Managing Director, and other key staff, to find and implement common or creative ways for the company to achieve its growth goals. Primarily, you will manage all contracting and procurement activities. This includes managing our contract bidding process, writing proposals (with the help of internal subject matter experts), and maintaining contract renewals. It also includes seeking ways to expand our client base in government. Occasionally, you may need to go to client pitches or presentations, virtually or eventually on-site.

Be part of the senior management team and not only help the company grow, but also participate in top level strategy and discussions that guide the company's future.

(Schreiber Translations is currently fully remote. At some point we will "return to the office", but with much more flexibility and more telework options for employees.)



  • minimum of 3 years full-time work experience
  • ability to travel to local events and meetings (metro Washington, DC area)

For extra credit:

  • experience or education in marketing
  • experience in the language services industry
  • advanced foreign language skills
