STAFF ACCOUNTANT (hybrid)

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting the Director of Finance with the daily and ongoing functions of the accounting department. The ideal candidate thrives working in a fast-paced transactional environment where problem-solving plays a key role. The successful candidate is a team player, excellent communicator and can multitask while working independently.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Generate daily invoices and submit to clients
  • Generate monthly invoices and reports for contract clients
  • Process monthly Linguist payments – includes but not limited to receiving invoices, verifying invoices, contacting linguists if there are issues, generating and attaching reports, processing payments
  • Track and Process bi-monthly account payables
  • Process electronic/online client payments
  • Misc. office management responsibilities (answering phones, AR calls, office supply management)
  • Plan and coordinate staff social gatherings and employee recognition efforts
  • Maintain employee benefits and payroll administration – enrollment and disenrollment, process payroll and update employee records
  • Place and coordinate ads for companywide available positions
  • Other tasks as they arise

This is hybrid position. Most of the Schreiber Translations' staff works remotely. However, the accounting staff comes into the office 1-2 days per week to process various tasks. The office is in Rockville, MD, right next to the Rockville stop on the Red Line of the Metro.


QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • QuickBooks experience
  • Proficient at Excel
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe software
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of similar work experience in an office environment

PROJECT MANAGER (remote)

ABOUT THE POSITION

Project Managers (PM) at Schreiber Translations perform all aspects of project management for translation, interpretation, and other foreign language services projects from start to finish, including: communicating with clients to accept and begin requests; following client requirements and timetables; scheduling, assigning, and reviewing the translators' work; troubleshooting/problem-solving client and translator issues. You will be guided by Program Managers and leadership in the Operations department, as well as with other departments in the company.

This job requires little to no work experience and is perfect for people starting their careers. It is a great way to learn and expand your skillset in an established office environment.

Come work with clients all over country who need to communicate with people in many other languages. Work with professional translators and interpreters in every language and from every culture all over the world.
